Consumer outdoor speakers are not designed for commercial hospitality environments. They're designed for a residential backyard that gets used on weekends. Your restaurant patio runs six nights a week, exposed to high humidity, direct sun, temperature swings from 95°F to 35°F, and occasional heavy rain.
We install commercial-grade, IP-rated outdoor speakers designed for continuous commercial use. Sonance, Klipsch, Yamaha, and Bose all make products built for exactly this environment — systems that look good, sound natural at conversational levels, and last years without service.
IP65-Rated Outdoor Speakers
Fully weatherproof enclosures rated for direct rain exposure. UV-stabilized grilles and marine-grade drivers that won't rust or degrade in Houston's humidity.
Landscape & Architectural Speakers
In-ground, surface-mount, and pendant speakers that blend into your outdoor design. We don't just bolt boxes to the fence.
Independent Zone Control
Outdoor zones on separate volume and source control from interior zones. Lower the patio when it fills up, raise it when it empties — without affecting indoor levels.
Weather-Protected Amplification
Amplifiers and signal processing mounted in weather-protected enclosures or NEMA-rated outdoor cabinets. No exposed electronics in the elements.
UV & Heat Protection
All cabling, connectors, and mounting hardware specified for outdoor use. Direct burial cable where applicable. No shortcuts that fail in year two.
Background Noise Compensation
Outdoor environments have higher ambient noise — HVAC, street traffic, wind. We account for this in speaker placement and system tuning.
FAQ: Outdoor Patio Audio
Do outdoor speakers need to be protected from rain?
IP65-rated outdoor speakers are fully sealed against water jets from any direction. They do not need a covered installation. Higher-end models can be fully submerged briefly and still function.
Can outdoor audio be on its own zone separate from inside?
Yes. This is standard in our installations. Indoor and outdoor zones run on independent volume and source controls so your staff can manage them separately.
What happens to outdoor speakers in a Houston summer?
Commercial outdoor speakers use UV-stabilized materials and are rated for ambient temperatures well above 100°F. Consumer outdoor speakers often fail within 2 seasons in Houston's climate — commercial products do not.
Can you run audio to a pool area or rooftop bar?
Yes. We regularly install outdoor systems for pool decks, rooftop bars, and elevated outdoor spaces. We use direct burial cable, weatherproof conduit, and outdoor-rated amplification enclosures.
